B.B.College, Baiganbadia was established in the year 1984 with a view to impart higher education in the tribal dominated area of the district which is only 8 kms away from the district head quarter Baripada and 8 kms away from Kuliana. Now it is a growing institution and a full fledged degree College with honours facilities in all the streams. The college offers courses in all the three streams of Arts, Science and Commerce both at +2 and +3 levels and is affiliated to CHSE, Orissa and Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanjadeo University, Baripada. The college has also a Govt. Vocational wing at +2 level with a well equipped Computer laboratory. The College covers an area of 9.97 Acres, among which 5.06 Acre is registered and 4.9 Acre is Alliened.

This charming Crest is more than symbolic for our rural and progressive College. The twin peacocks roosting on the Time Wheel of the Sun Temple of Konark on a resting posture with an ancient oil lamp and an open book set inside the Wheel speak much more of the aims and objectives of the College. The peacocks symbolise the glorious tradition of Mayurbhanj in Art, Culture and Literature. The Wheel of Konark is to symbolise the glories of Orissa in varied fields while the ancient oil lamp burns immaculately to dispel the darkness of ignorance. It is the herald of new light and wisdom when associated with the open book, the symbol of Knowledge and Wisdom. The absence of any motto is thus amply compensated. The omission of the motto gives in to any new idea or thought. The emblem is thus all-embracing like the vedic and puranic ideals of our glorious past. I must also keep my mind open to all new ideas and thought.
